"Pure Perception with Revanth Anupoju” is my attempt at producing and hosting a Telugu podcast online. I did not have a pre-existing audience but I just took a plunge by talking to my friend who left for Australia a few months ago and recording our conversation over Zoom, where he shared his experience as an Indian student pursuing masters in Australia, which I released as Episode 1 on 12th Feb 2020.
CORE BELIEF ‘Everyone Has a Story and an Experience to Share.’ I fundamentally believe every life is a story worth sharing to the world. My goal is to pass on their learning experiences in an attempt to inspire the future generations by creating thoughtful, interesting content with compelling interviews.
TARGET AUDIENCE Pure Perception is a podcast targeted towards youngsters aged between 18-24, who are curious to know about diverse fields. The target audience can be segmented into two subgroups; youth who are planning to pursue higher studies (particularly engineering, medicine or computer science) and youngsters who are already working professionals.

The Episode 3 of Pure Perception featured Somayajulu Dhulipala, currently a postdoctoral research scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where in he explains about his journey from being an undergraduate to being at the top. He shares his experiences, stories and tips for success.
That episode sky rocketed in terms of listens/streams, and it gave me a set of loyal audience who came back every week for a new episode.
From there on, there was a domino effect and I happened to talk to people from different backgrounds from all around the world. From freelancers to
transportation designer to UI/UX designers. They all had one thing in common: They were passionate, curious about life in itself.
So far I have released 46 episodes.

The Pure Perception brand identity was built on one note of a hand-drawn font, embodying an organic and natural look. The use of the wordmark, with distinct kerning and rhythm to emphasize the feeling of a loose human touch, reinforces this.
Transitioning from a single Podcast to India’s First Telugu Podcast Network.
I have a knack for story telling, as I experimented with shortfilms/ad films back in college, and had written original ideas for the same. My friend (Bharath) and I, have planned to make a webseries that did not see the light of the day due to various reasons. Pandemic has given us the opportunity to explore our archived ideas, and that's how I came on board with them by creating a comedy fiction podcast with Immersive Sound Effects, which was called NBK A Telugu Podcast Series
Thus, Disversification was a key aspect to Pure Perception Network.

After six months of starting 6 different podcasts, I had seen a dip in the listenership of the podcasts, and I started to drill down on the root cause of this issue and decided to talk and take feedback from the listeners.
After having gotten feedback from the regular/subscribed listeners, I realized that they are unable to track all the podcasts on the many podcast platforms available. They missed out on the new episode alerts, as they were getting notified only on social media posts. This led to them missing out on several episodes.
I then rectified the issue with a website with a one-stop streaming platform for all the podcasts.
